Oncora has been established in late 2019 and started its regular operation in 2020. The founders relied on more than 25 years’ experience of international pharma development in both innovative biotechnology and development of drug delivery systems especially for API with immunosuppressive activity and HAPI. The main target of the group is to develop an innovative solution either based on its own experience or directly together with the partner. Up to know, Oncora is active especially in two main areas:

Main Activities
Microbiology, biotechnology, and molecular biology
Main activities – strain improvement, cultivation processes optimization, cultivation of GMO, gene transfer, protein isolation, protein expression system, construction of new construct for synthesis of recombinant proteins, DOE-based optimization is used as a standard approach.
Strain development/improvement
The laboratory offers development of industrial microbial strain starting either from the currently used strain or from a wild strain. Methods of development are based on physical and chemical mutagens, selection of positive isolates by PCR or adequate molecular or cellular markers, protoplast fusion, etc. DOE-based optimization is used as a standard approach. Cultivation media are developed based on physiological studies or metabolomic study if required.
Production of recombinant proteins
Production of recombinant proteins by highly efficient E. coli expression system for extracellular production of recombinant proteins. Cultivation and processes optimization of protein synthesis.
Green Technology- Development of green biosynthetic processes of HAPI
Green chemistry is one of the valuable concepts for the development of new, more effective, solvent-free, less toxic, environmentally friendly, and cost-efficient methods for the synthesis of different anticancer molecules. There are many developments for the environmentally friendly approaches for the synthesis of biologically active molecules. They usually reduce waste by-products, costs and develop more environmentally friendly procedures.

Development of final dosage forms of HAPI compounds from BCS class II and III
The laboratory offers development of oral solid dosage forms starting by direct mixing, through wet granulation, solid dispersion up to SEDDS (Self-Emulsifying Drug Delivery System). DOE-based optimization is used as a standard approach. Standard processes required by FDA or EMEA are applied. Any project is finished on small pilot scale batch and complete development report.
Development of Drug Delivery Systems for:
BCS class II – formulations based on of using solid dispersion and microemulsion approaches
BCS class III – formulations based on “hydrophobization” of the API, mostly microemulsion or polymorphism or co-crystal formation
